Up and up and up.
Giving form to the formless.
This painting was commissioned by the playwright Marty Moore while I was going through a rather traumatic period in my life. I toured her home and the surrounding forest while she related stories about her life there, which all had a quality of magical realism. I took compelling elements from her stories and alloyed them with the painful story I was living through. The result is this meeting of a spirit and a spirit guide along the climb.
The original painting is 6 feet tall by 4 feet wide. You can find fine giclée prints in my ‘available works’ section at the largest size my local printer can do: 40” x 60”.
